Millennial Organizations Seen As Cult

With the advent of many long time members of the Church of Scientology such as documentary film maker Paul Hagiss and actress Leah Remini leaving and the 2015 documentary of "Going Clear" featuring many of the members and their recent exodus from Scientology. It bodes the question that because this organization operates much like a business under the guise of a church to potentially evade the quarterly taxes a for profit organization would have to pay, does this establishment operate much like a cult and if so are other organizations operating this way
